Nowhere is this more evident than in our longstanding partnership with the United Nations. Through this collaboration, MMI has played a vital role in supporting the UN’s peacekeeping missions and initiatives worldwide, providing high-quality, bespoke products that embody the values of unity, service, and global peace.
A comprehensive partnership
Over the years, MMI has proudly delivered a range of products for the United Nations, each reflecting the organisation’s mission and global reach. From service medals and cap badges to the iconic blue berets worn by peacekeepers, every item is crafted with precision and dedication.
MMI currently holds four active contracts with the UN, spanning the production of cap badges, berets, brassards, patches, and the UN Peace Pin. These products are integral to the identity and recognition of UN personnel and their vital work across the globe.
Delivering excellence on a global scale
Cap Badges (2020–2025) As part of our commitment to excellence, MMI has supplied over 320,000 cap badges in the past two years. These badges are a symbol of service and are proudly worn by UN personnel worldwide.
UN Blue Berets (2022–2025) One of the most iconic symbols of UN peacekeeping, the blue beret is a hallmark of MMI’s production capabilities. In the last two years alone, MMI has delivered over 370,000 blue berets, ensuring peacekeepers are equipped with this internationally recognised emblem of their mission.
Brassards and Patches (2021–2026) MMI has supplied 350,000 brassards and 640,000 patches in the past two years, essential elements of the uniforms worn by UN personnel, signifying their roles and missions around the world.
UN Peace Pin As one of four official suppliers to the UN Shop, MMI contributes to the creation of the UN Peace Pin, a cherished emblem that represents the organisation’s enduring mission to promote peace and security.
Honouring Service: The UN Service Medal
From 2013 to 2023, MMI proudly produced the UN Service Medal, a distinguished award presented to UN troops upon the completion of their missions. In the final two years of this contract alone, MMI delivered 200,000 service medals, including those awarded to Irish UNIFIL personnel serving in Lebanon. These medals are a lasting tribute to the courage, dedication, and sacrifices of peacekeepers worldwide.
